Year 3 boys have been learning about what Jesus’ childhood may have been like all those centuries ago. They made flour from wheat, butter from cream and wove miniature bed mats with river reeds. The highlight was using ancient tools which were excavated from grandparents’ sheds and brought along to share. Ably assisted by a large group of fathers, grandfathers, uncles and friends, the boys were able to use the tools to sand, hammer, plane and drill offcuts of wood generously provided by the Senior School. Huge thanks to the family and friends who volunteered their time to come along and help us.
