This has been an emotional week Patsy and me as we say goodbye to the Saints community. We were particularly moved by the Junior School Muster and will treasure our farewell gifts from the staff and boys. The beautiful bird bath, handcrafted by old scholar and blacksmith Will Sexton will occupy a special spot in our new garden. Thank you to everyone who attended the cocktail reception last week. It was heart-warming to see so many parents, staff, old scholars and other members of the educational community in Memorial Hall on a cold winter’s night. The Senior School muster today was an emotive farewell and has officially marked the end of my time at St Peter’s College. I am grateful for the number of opportunities I have had to say goodbye and it is with great sadness that I leave the Saints community.

As I mentioned last week, Saints leaves a legacy on me and I am changed for the better for having being part of this community. Saints shapes us all and will continue to do so for generations to come. I firmly believe that St Peter’s College has a bright and illustrious future and I look forward to watching it unfold over the coming years. I wish the School, and every member of the Saints community, all the very best.
