Applications open on Monday 19 June 2017 for the Caterer Scholarship 2018. This scholarship is open to all current Year 10 students who have been at the School for at least six terms. The scholarship provides for 25% remission of a student’s tuition fees for two years, being their Year 11 and Year 12 years at the School.
The Scholarship is named after Thomas Ainslie Caterer who was a master at the School between 1887 and 1922 and was twice Acting Headmaster, the second time for four years in 1916-1919. He was a keen and successful gardener and a talented cricketer and cricket administrator. The Scholarship was first awarded in 1927.
Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed by a selection committee which will include the Headmaster and three members of the St Peter’s Collegians Association. The committee will take into account the student’s academic ability, his involvement in co-curricular activities and in particular his strength of character, loyalty to the School and leadership abilities.
Application forms will be emailed to all Year 10 Students on Monday 19 June 2017 (week 8 of Term 2). Applications must be submitted by the closing date of Friday 28 July 2017 (week 1 of Term 3). Completed applications should be returned to the Head of Senior School Office. For more information about the Caterer and other scholarships, please contact Mrs Amanda Bruce, Admissions Manager.
